Citrus Leafminer
The citrus Leafminder is most commonly found on citrus and closely related plants.Citrus leafminer larvae feed by creating shallow tunnels, or mines, in young leaves of citrus trees. Typical damage caused by Citrus Leafminer larvae is silvery trails or ‘mines’ on citrus leaves and distorted citrus leaves. Severe infestations can negatively affect the growth of young trees.
Citrus Leafminer damage created by larvae that feeds by creating shallow tunnels or mines, exposes more tissue to citrus canker infection and increases the infected areas.
